Obituary: "RICHARDS, Henry. Pioneer Citizen Dies in Knoxville. Henry RICHARDS, aged 76, one of Rockwood's pioneer residents and business men, died Monday morning at 8:00 o'clock at the home of his son, Dr. Dan RICHARDS, in Knoxville. Mr. RICHARDS was born in Wales, his family moving to this country when he was a boy. He first resided in Pennsylvania, later coming to Rockwood. Here he was connected with the Roane Iron Company for some years. He later was engaged in the furniture and undertaking business, and was at one time among the large property owners of the city. During the past few years he spent most of his time with relatives in Knoxville and Coal Creek. He is survived by four sons, Dr. Dan RICHARDS and Ben RICHARDS of Knoxville, Tom, of Billings, Mont., John H. of the city, and five daughters, Mrs. Daisy RICHARDS, Misses Lizzie and Margaret RICHARDS of this city, Mrs. W.H. BRANHAM,of Coal Creek, and Mrs. R.B. STRICKLAND, one brother Thomas RICHARDS, of Caryville, four sisters, Mrs. Howell LEYSHON, Mrs. Lilly IRISH, of Knoxville, Mrs. E. BALDWIN, Mrs. H. KENSINGER, of Chattanooga. Funeral services were conducted from the home in Knoxville Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock and interment was in Lynnhurst cemetery in that city. The pallbearers were all members of Oak Leaf Lodge No. 49, K. of P. of Rockwood, as follows: Fred CROUCH, John BENSON, Clifford TEDDER, Rush TEDDER, Geo. QUALLS, and Kimbro POPE. Mr. And Mrs. Clarence STEVENS and Miss Patsy RUSSELL also attended the funeral. The deceased was an active member of the local K. of P. Henry married Margaret M. Thomas on 6 Dec 1870 in Lawrence county, Ohio. Margaret died on 26 Sep 1885. Henry married a second time on 31 Oct 1888 to Minerva Ann Stebbins in Roane county, Tennessee. They were divorced on 18 Jul 1901.
