ANDREW JOHNSON "Andy" JONES, 79, of 425 Chartridge Drive, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1920, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Lewis R. and Ruth Dusang Jones.
He was retired from C & P Telephone Co. after 42 years of service. He was a member of C & P Telephone Pioneers.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Stouffer Jones; one daughter, Linda K. Lemaster of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Alta F. Blalock of Hagerstown and Ruth M. Fahrney of Harrisonburg, Va.; one grandson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret R. Burk and one son, Robert Lee Jones.
Funeral services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
