BOONEVILLE - Doris Tays Robertson, 81, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at her home after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for her husband's businesses. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and a member of the UMW. She was a member of the DAR.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today al McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Hankins and the Rev. W. L. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Spain and her husband, Billy, of Booneville, and Peggy Lowrey and her husband, Bobby, of Iuka; one son, Guy Wayne Robertson and his wife, Betty, of Memphis; one sister, Gladys Young of Booneville; seven grandchildren, Bill Spain, Laura Harber, Dena Cutshall, Kelly Lowrey, Amy Lowrey, Ashley Hinton and Brandon Robertson; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Guy Robertson; six sisters; four brothers; and two grandsons, Michael Guy Spain and David A. Spain.
Visitation will continue until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Christian Life Center at the First United Methodist Church of Booneville.
