Aunt Mildred was the eighth child of 12 born to Andrew Alexander and Fannie Moores Tays. She never married. Her parents built a large two-story home in Booneville, Mississippi. At Andrew's death, he left the home to all of the unmarried daughters. Sybil, Edith, and Mildred lived there together until their deaths.
After Mildred died, the remaining family members sold the house to Jerry Lee Lewis and his wife.
