"Personal Notice. . . . Mrs. Polly Wright died at her home in this village, April 9th. She was 88 years of age in February last. She was extremely smart for one of her years, and attended to household duties up to November last, since which she has been gradually failing. She had no organic disease, simply the lamp of life burned out. Her maiden name was [illegible] and she had always lived on, or within sight of the farm where she was born. Her's was a kindly disposition, affectionate in her family, and greatly respected by her neighbors. Her husband, the late Gideon Wright, died about twenty-two years ago. Of her twelve children, eight survive her - Seneca and Morgan in Cortland, Levi in Groton, and Mrs. Foote, Mrs. Stoyell, Martha, Melissa and Elwin, in this village. The funeral will be attended at the Methodist church on Saturday, at 2 P. M."
