"Elwain Wright Dies. Elwain Wright [NOTE: The spelling of his given name is Elwin in all other references found - R. A. Post], 81, widely known resident of the Village of Moravia, died Monday evening in the Moravia Hospital where he had been a patient for about four months. He had been in poor health for a long time. Mr. Wright was a lifelong resident of the Town of Moravia. He was born on Oak Hill and was the son of Gideon and Polly Wright. He was the last of a family of 10 children. During his early life Mr. Wright was employed as a clerk in various stores of this village. Afterwards he learned the harness making trade. For 15 years he was employed by George Foote. Mr. Wright never married. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late home in East Cayuga Street. Rev. W. L. Bates, retired Baptist minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Indian Mound Cemetery."
