Antoine is the son of Nicholas Bariault and Martine Hebert. He was bornin about 1697, in the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption parish of Pisiguit (now Windsor), Acadie. He married Angelique Thibodeau in 1732 in Pisquit, Arcadia. They are the parents of the following (verified with PRDH except *):
1) Rose-Rosalie (1723- ) md Pierre Vincent
2) Francoise (abt 1724-1757) md Joseph Savary dit Chevarie
3) *Helene (abt 1725-) md Prosper Thibodeau
4) Antoine (abt 1726-1758) md Marie-Blanche Doucet
5) Jean-Baptiste (abt 1730-1807) md (a) Marguerite Doucet, (b) Madeleine Landry, and (c) Marguerite Pouliot
6) Simon (abt 1731-1790) md (a) Rosalie Simard and (b) Ursule Forest
7) Charles (abt 1736-1811) md (a) Marie-Francoise Bolodeau and (b) Marguerite Therrien

In 1750 he, Angelique and their 11 children moved to Riviere de Molin a Scie near Port La Joie, Ile St. Jean which is now Prince Edward Island.

Angelique died at Port-la-Joie, but Antoine moved to Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse where he probably died of smallpox. He was buried on 22 January 1858.
