Martine married Nicholas Bariault in 1682, in Port Royal, Nova Scotia. She died sometime after 1707 in Pisiquit, Nova Scotia, which is now known as Falmouth. This is in the Minas Basin area of Acadia, and the establishment started at the same time as Grand Pre. The l'Assomption parish church was situated on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Pisiquit and Saint Croix rivers where in 1750 it was pulled down by the Acadians under orders from the British to make way for Fort Edward. The closest town now in existence is Windsor.
