Obituary: Iberia Sentinel 1966

Wade A. Pemberton, 82, of Iberia, died Thursday morning (April 14, 1966) at a Springfield Hospital. Mr. Pemberton was born June 10, 1883, in Miller County, the son of James Lewis and Fannie Jane Williams Pemberton. He was married Aug. 12, 1904, to the former Miss Edna Francis Wall, who died Dec. 17, 1964. A life-long resident of the Iberia, Mr. Pemberton attended the Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Seven daughters, Mrs. Wilma Birge, Bloomington, Ind., Mrs. Gretchen Jones, St. Louis, Mrs. Sylvia Atwill and Mrs. Jean Keeth, both of Iberia, Mrs. Pauline Livingston, Sequin, Wash., Mrs. Maxine Deardeuff, Oak Harbor, Wash., and Mrs. Janet Wilson, Springfield.

Six sons, Emil Pemberton, Harold Pemberton and James Pemberton, all of Iberia, Lynn Pemberton, Coal City, Ill., Victor Pemberton, Overland Park, Kan., and Donald Pemberton, Cape Girardeau: one brother Wilbert Pemberton, Richland; one sister, Mrs. Naomi Casey, Iberia; 38 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Iberia, with Rev. Earl Brown and Rev. Jack Zike officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery near Iberia.
