Biological daughter of Caroline "Carrie" May Alderman and Edward Canedy. Adopted daughter of Elmer & Bessie Elwell Stone ( part of her biological father's family). She was raised by family and later adopted - not long after her biological mom's tragic death and her biological father going to prison. Dorothy was adopted/ name changed in adulthood January 12, 1946. (Personally, I think that she also disowned her biological family and I don't blame her for it). Meanwhile, Dorothy is widow of Harry E. Blake (who died Jan. 11, 1963;Marriage 4 Jul 1946 Williamstown, Massachusetts)
