Dale Ernest Curtis passed away on November 15, 2013 at the age of 78.
He was born August 23, 1935 in San Jose, California, and grew up in Santa Clara.
Dale proudly served in the US Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict, where he received the National Defense Service Medal.
After getting married, he moved to Sacramento where he raised his family and worked until his retirement as an accountant for the State Printing Plant.
After his retirement, Dale enjoyed volunteering his time with many organizations including the Friends of the CA State Fair and the Casa Garden Restaurant at the Sacramento Children's Home.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Curtis, and is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, and by his three grandsons. A memorial celebration of his life was held on December 2, 2013 at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
