Funeral services for Sylvester Ussery 78, who died Friday in Spokane will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Shaw & Sons Chapel. The Rev. Ivan Bell will officiate and burial will be in Tahoma Cemetery. Mr. Ussery moved to Spokane from Yakima in 1941. He was born in Mountain Grove, Mo. He was a retired Baptist minister from Missouri. Survivors include a daughter; Mrs. Iva Hitchcock of Dayton, Wash; two sons Ben and Lewis both of Mountain Grove; a brother David of Springfield, Mo; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Howard of Kansas City, Mo. and Mrs. William Bartley of Jay, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Harley Dunkle, Stanley Hall, Ervin Ellott, Gerald Wishon, Lee Peebles and Pete Rutz.
First wife Louisa Franklin children not listed Martin, Cordelia B. Nicholson, Sarah Doran, Sherman and Ira. Second wife Florence Routh. Louisa parents John William and Nancy Ann Moody Franklin of Mt. Grove, MO.
