Kizza CHANEY, daughter of Lewis and Julia CHANEY, was born November 10, 1878 and departed this life May 13, 1920, aged forty-one years, six months and three days. She died of tuberculosis. But in all the long suffering that this means, she was ever patient, always in good cheer and planning what would be in the future.

She was married to Amos HOSTETTER March 4, 1905. To this union were born eight children—six boys and two girls. Four of these children died in infancy; the other four remain. She also leaves a husband, a father, a devoted mother-in-law, two sisters, a brother, and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when quite young, and was true to him till the last. She was an affectionate wife and mother, a faithful friend and true, and to know Kizza was to love her. Those who knew her best could not say too much in her praise.

Funeral services were held at Walnut Grove Church, of which she was a member, on Sunday afternoon, May 16, 1920, conducted by the writer and attended by an immense throng overflowing the house. Then the body was laid to rest till Jesus comes.
