Dell was born on March 15, 1926 in Hemingway, SC, one of nine children of the late Henry Edward Eaddy and the late Mary Hutson Eaddy.
She held a Bachelor's degree in Education and was a Charleston County school teacher. Dell and her husband David were active members of Ashley River Baptist, First Baptist Church in downtown Charleston,Citadel Square Baptist Church, Ft. Johnson Baptist Church, James Island Baptist Church, Northbridge Baptist Church and Grace Methodist Church. David served as Minister of Music and Dell was a choir member and Sunday School teacher in all of these churches.
She is survived by two daughters; Pamela Brinkerhoff and her husband, Bill, of Ramona, CA and Carole Cuttino and her husband Jim Anderson, of Awendaw, SC and ; two sons, David William Cuttino, III, and his wife, Marion, of Fernandina Beach, FL and Walter E. Cuttino and his wife, Simone, of Irmo, SC; eight grandchildren, Brooke Kornegay and her husband, Cory, Nathan Stein, Adele Stein, Jason Stein, Alina Cuttino, Noah Cuttino, Avalyn and Gemma Cuttino; and one great grandchild, Julius Kornegay.
