Sam is what he liked to be called, he was the son of Harold Clifton and Eva Maxine (Stepp) Small, and the Grandson of Clyde and Zula An (Mendenhall) Small, and the Grandson of Bert and Effie (Boren) Stepp, and the Great Grandson of Thomas and Sarah (Jacobs) Stepp, and the Great Grandson of Adison and Sarah Jane (Wicker) Boren. Sam Married Thelma M. Godby on Jan./ 29/ 1954, and together they had one Daughter, her name is Lou Ann Small (Pierce). Sam was a service Lineman for Public Service Indiana for 38 years. He was a member of the Hinkle Masonic Lodge No. 310 in Deming, American Legion post No. 67 in Sheridan, Moose Lodge No. 540 in Noblesville, the Indiana Auctioneers Association and the Thoroughbred Association. Sam was a well-known auctioneer in this area, he also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. Sam was 57 years old when he died.
