Mrs. Clara Leyendecker Lorenz, 91, of Kerrville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, in a Kerrville nursing center. Mrs. Lorenz, a resident of Kerrville since 1926, was born on Oct. 27, 1907, in Gillespie County, Texas, to Arthur and Alma Moellendorf Leyendecker.
Mrs. Lorenz married Walter A. Lorenz on Nov. 18, 1925, in Harper, Texas. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1980. She was a housewife, a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Kerrville, a a member of Woodmen of the World.
Survivors include on sister, Louise Smith of Kerrville; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends. She was also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Minnie Klein, Eva Coleman, Alma Ruff, Hilmar Leyendecker, Arthur Leyendecker Jr. and Henry Leyendecker.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb 6, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, with Pastor Douglas McBride officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Reagan Michel, Roland Michel Jr., William Ruff, Clark Klein, Kevin Klein and Roland Michel Sr.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
