Leza L. Hayes, 86 died at a local nursing home Wednesday. She was born Nov. 19, 1889 at Wabaasee, Quebec, Canada and came to Ellensburg from Canada with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Blair, in 1912. She was married to Clarence P. Hayes, Jan. 23, 1913 in Ellensburg. She made her home at 111 S. Pine prior to entering the nursing home six years ago.
Mrs. Hayes was a 25-year member of the Moose Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Eugene, of Ellensburg; Leslie, of Pasco; and Richard, of Post Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Miller, of Silver City, Nev.; and Mrs. Dorothy Roletto, of Ronald; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert in 1964, and a daughter, Mrs. Una Wiltgen in 1975.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hayes will be held in the Evenson Chapel Friday at 11 a.m. Father Kerr will officiate and burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
