Miss Bernardine Winkelmann, 82, Wardsville, died Sunday at St. Mary's Health Center following a three-month illness. She was born Nov. 8, 1894, the daughter of Herman and Johanna Melies Winkelmann.
Miss Winkelmann was a housekeeper for Msgr. Joseph Winkelmann and the Rev. Herb Melies until her retirement 12 years ago. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Our Lady Sodality.
Survivors include; one brother, Otto Winkelmann, St. Louis, and three sisters, Mrs. Zita Rackers, Wardsville, and Miss Clementine Winkelmann and Miss Geraldine Winkelmann, both of the home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Dolan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
