Geraldine A. Winkelmann, 97, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at St. Joseph's Home for the Aged. She was born on Nov 15, 1909 in Wardsville, the daughter of Herman and Johanna Melies Winkelmann. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in St. Louis. Miss Winkelmann was employed with many state and federal agencies for 45 years, retiring in 1980 as a Secretary for the Adjutant General's Office.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bernard Winkelmann, Edmund Winkelmann and Otto Winkelmann; five sisters, Johanna Pottebaum, Marie Markway, Zita Rackers, Bernadine Winkelmann and Clementine Winkelmann; and one infant brother, Joseph Winkelmann. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 7, 2007 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
