Sherman Dennis, Swart, 66, died __day, December 21, 1933, at his ___ five miles west and two miles __ of Stillwater, Ok.
Funeral services were held at the Strode Funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the Rev. V.A. Doty officiating. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery.
Sherman Dennis Swart was born April 8, 1867, in Union, Clark county, Missouri. He was united in marriage with Laura McGuire at Stillwater, January 21, 1900. Mrs. Swart survives her husband as do two sons and two daughters and they are Charlie, Stillwater; George, Guthrie; Mrs. Robert Pike, Ripley, and Mrs. Clarence Livergood, Edmond. Three brothers and four sisters survive also and they are J.A., Stillwater; W.S., Girard, Kan.; Frank, Washington, Pa.; Mrs. Clyde Lee, Fort Scott, Kan.; Mrs. John Morris, Fort Scott, Kan.; Mrs. Robert Brown, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. John Adamson, Garland, Kan. There are nine grandchildren and many other relatives.
Mr. Swart moved from Union to Fort Scott, Kan., and finally came to Oklahoma in 1889, homesteading a claim upon which he resided at death. He was a member of the Stillwater First Methodist church since 1914.
