Warren Christensen, 82, died Saturday, November 30, 2013. He was born on February 9, 1931 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Neils and Maryann Hutchinson Christensen.

He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn Barton on August 12, 1950 and they have spent 63 years together living in the Ogden area. He played football for Ogden High School and graduated in 1949.

Dad loved to work and was a hard worker. He was a contractor/plumber by trade and built numerous homes. He raised horses and loved to train them for racing. He started with cutter racing for Wasatch Slopes and then moved to flat track. He and Mom would spend the winters in St. George or Phoenix training and racing the horses, then they would move to Boise or Evanston for the summers. They spent ten years on the road horse racing. Dad was a very generous man and helped many people. He always wanted to lend a hand to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; six children, Karen (Larry) Call, Bart (Cindy) Christensen, Scott Christensen, Lori Arnett, Pamela (Roger) Lee, Merilee (Karl) Wendell; and sister, Inez Wright; fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six, siblings, Alvin, Evelyn, Nola, Eva, Neil, and James.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden.

Friends may visit family on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd
