Verona -- Fred W. Klein, RD 1 died early this morning in Oneida City Hospital where he had been a patient for eight days.
He was born in Whitesboro, July 2, 1882, son of Faltein and Emma Dann Klein. He spent most of his life in the Verona area and was a retired farmer. On December 24, 1904, he and Katherine Howard were married by the Rev. Francis Stanford in Verona Methodist Church.
Surviving besides his wife there are three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Emma) Jones, Durhamville, Mrs. Warwald (Elizabeth) O'Dell. Oneida Castle, and Mrs. Willard (Katherine) Lewis, Greenway; four sons, Fred H., Fort Myers, Fla., Lloyd A., Sherrill, Ward E., Durhamville, Floyd B., Raleigh, N. C.; two brothers, Henry Klein, Sylvan Beach, and Irving Klein, Lakeland, Fla.; 30 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lewis, Greenway, Monday at 2 P.M. with the Rev Emil Hein, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery.
Friends may call at the home of the daughter on Sunday at their convenience.

Funeral services for Fred W. Klein, R. D. 1 Verona, who died Friday, were held this afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Willard Lewis, Greenway with the Rev. Emil Hein, pastor of St. Peter's Church, Churchville, officiating.
Bearers, all grandsons of the deceased were Dean Jones, LaVerne Jones, Maynard Jones, Sam Klein, Willard Lewis Jr., and Robert Lewis. Burial was made in Verona Cemetery.
