Mrs. Katherine H. Klein, 80, of RD 2 Verona, died early today in the Oneida City Hospital after a long illness.
A native of New London, she was born Aug 1, 1885, daughter of William and Nettie Miller Howard. On Dec. 24, 1904, in the Verona Methodist Chruch, she was married to Fred W. Klein, who died on their anniversary in 1965. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Francis Stanford.
Mrs. Klein had lived in Verona all her married life.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Emma) Jones, Durhamville, Mrs. Warwald (Elizabeth) O'Dell, Oneida Castle, and Mrs. Willard (Katherine) Lewis, Greenway; four sons, Fred H., Port Charlotte, Fla.; Lloyd A., Sherrill; Ward E., Durhamville, and Floyd B., Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, Burton M. Howard, Oneida; 30 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Griffin and Aldridge Funeral Home Sunday at 2 with the Rev. Emil Hein, pastor of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Churchville, officiating. Interment will be in Verona Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
