SNIDER, Gord Passed away suddenly in his bush on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 with a chainsaw in his hand, doing what he loved to do. Caring husband of 50 years of Lorrie (nee Kirk). Loving father of Lynda Snider and Eric Duff of Stony Plain, Alberta, Susan and Dave Weiss of Bloomingdale, Tim Snider and Jennifer Leader of Kitchener. Much loved grandpa of Keaton, Bailey, and Jody Weiss, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Alex, Jenna and Karilyn Duff. Treasured by Mandy and Beethoven. Also survived by sisters Georgina Mann Evens and Dorothy (Doug) Uhrig, all of Bloomingdale, brothers and sisters-in-law Clare and Pat Kirk, and Dave and Karen Kirk. Much loved uncle of Debra Smith, Don and Cindy Uhrig, Lloyd Evens, Larry and Monica Mann, Nancy Evens and Neville, Steven Kirk and Monique, Jaimie Kirk and Josh and their families. Will also be missed by many friends. Predeceased by parents George and Anne Snider, in-laws Harry and Rhea Kirk, sister-in-law Jennifer Kirk and brother-in-law Winston Mann. Faithful and valued employee of Rosendale Farms and past employee of Strauss Fuels and Walter, Fedy and Associates. Lifetime member of Bloomingdale United Church, where he was a current member of the Board of Stewards and served as usher and treasurer over the years. Gord was a volunteer driver for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Gord's family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2013 and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St. (519) 749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Elaine Graham and Rev. John Gertridge officiating. Reception to follow. Interment Bloomingdale Cemetery.
