Clair S. Coho

Clair S. Coho, 77, Altoona, died Monday at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown, after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Walter and Hazel (Forney) Coho. He married Margery A. Weigand on Sept. 29, 1956, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Marge; a son, Daniel O. "Troop" (Charlene) of Bellwood; three daughters: Debra Wood (Ronald) of Salisbury, Md., Brenda "Tuffy" Snyder (Curtis) of Tipton and Penny "Dummy" Neff of Altoona; nine grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda, Danielle, Rebecca, Chad, Tyler, Samantha, Jared and Taylor; a great-granddaughter, Mia Clair; two brothers: Walter and Dennis, both of Altoona; and a sister, Joyce of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald.
Clair was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service, having served as an atomic war veteran. He also worked as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service in Roaring Spring and Johnstown.
Clair enjoyed hunting, working on Studebakers, puzzles, pouring concrete, yard work and feeding birds.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Mark Rhodes. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Clair.
