Melissa A. Dixon, 52, of Shawville passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at her home.
She was born November 8, 1961 in Clearfield, the daughter of Lee B. and Althea
(Bain) Shaw.
Melissa was a registered nurse having worked for DuBois Regional Medical Center in the maternity ward for 23 years and a caregiver for five years.
She was a member of the Shawville United Methodist Church.
Melissa is survived by a son, Steven W. Dixon and his wife, Brandy of Scranton, PA a daughter, Sara M. Brown and her husband, Joshua of Indiana, PA, one grandson, Logan Brown, three brothers; Jeffrey Shaw and his wife, Trudy of Clearfield, Steven Shaw and his wife, Beth of Lexington, KY and Daniel Shaw of Indiana, PA., a fiancé, Rodney McBride of Shawville and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of the services.
