Clara Mae Plaisance Bruce, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 7:29 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 12 p.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Galliano and husband, Moise, Rhonda Gautreaux and husband, Dwight, and Deidra Guidry; daughter-in-law, Kathy M. Bruce; brother, Henry Plaisance Jr.; sisters, Edna Danos, Shirley Danos; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bruce Jr.; son, Robert Bruce; parents, Henry Plaisance Sr. and Anastacie Melancon Plaisance; sister, Velma Danos; and one grandchild.

Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
