A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Velma Plaisance Danos, 73, a native and resident of Cut Off who died at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 31.
Burial was in the church mausoleum.
She was the mother of Catherine Lombas, Laura Stout, Bridget Duhon and Henry Plaisance Jr. and the sister of Edna Danos, Shirley Danos and Clara Mae Bruce. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Danos; and parents Henry and Anastasie Melancon Plaisance.
