John G. Snyder, 77, Altoona, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Saturday morning at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Freedom Township, Blair County, son of the late Malechi and Sarah Elizabeth (Dibert) Snyder. He married Betty E. Logan, and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2011. Surviving are a son, Galen J. of Altoona; and three granddaughters. He was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters. At the family's request, there will be no public viewing or funeral service. Interment will be at Holsinger Cemetery, Bakers Summit. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg.
