Mary M. Forney, 87, East Freedom, died Tuesday at Altoona Center for Nursing Care after an extended illness.
She was born in Bakers Summit, daughter of Samuel M. and Sarah (Dibert) Snyder. She married George G. Forney April 14, 1941, in Altoona. He died July 17, 1966.
Surviving are a daughter, Margaret E. Laferriere of East Freedom; three grandchildren; a sister, Annie Beck of East Freedom; and a brother, John G. Snyder of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
She was a member of Church of the Brethren, Carson Valley.
Mrs. Forney enjoyed bingo, flowers, gardening, fishing and camping.
There will be no visitation or service. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto Reste Park.
