Ira Lee Hughart, 73, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on October 31, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital, after a short illness.

Ira was the Owner - Operator of Ira Hughart Stone for many years. His employees were, Randy Shaffer, who "thought of him like a Dad," Delmer Harding, "dear friend and was just like a son," and Joe Harvey, "a dear family friend."

Preceding him in death were his son, Bobby Lee Hughart; parents, John and Erna Boggess Hughart; brothers, Noble, Lowell and Glen Hughart; sisters, Maxine Hughart, Edith West, Helen Jones, Beatrice Hughart and Opal Tyler.

Survivors include his wife, Darlis Hughart; mother-in-law, Stella Jordan; sister, Gale Harrison and husband, Gary of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Kayla and husband, Chris, Cody and wife, Katilyn, Jordan and Jessica; great-granddaughter, Kristina Ann, who Ira called his "little pumpkin." Also surviving are several nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, November 4, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
