Carolyn G. Miller, 78, passed into the next life at 9:00am, Friday, November 1, 2013 in Warren General Hospital following an illness of several months. She was born June 22, 1935 in Sheffield to the late Robert and Pearl Bloss Goldthwaite.
A lifelong area resident, Carolyn graduated from Sheffield High School in 1953 and worked for various industries, individuals and organizations. She finished her employment career as the church secretary for Sheffield United Methodist Church where she was a member. Carolyn was a charter member of the Sheffield Alumni Association. She enjoyed reading and was an avid bowler, but enjoyed her family the most including Mama and Lucy (the cats).
Carolyn is survived by four brothers, Robert and Irene Goldthwaite, Jr., Hawthorne Woods, Ill., Joseph and Linda Goldthwaite, Sheffield, Lee and Rita Goldthwaite, Sheffield, and Kenneth and Daphne Goldthwaite, Sheffield; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who she treated as her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Millard "Mike" Miller whom she married November 21, 1979 in Sheffield.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, November 4, 2013 in Sheffield United Methodist Church with Rev. Dennis Johnson, pastor, officiating. Friends will be received from 9:30am 11:00am immediately prior to the service in church.
