Harrison Lloyd Bloomfield, age 74, of Vanceburg, Ky., passed away Sunday morning, October 27, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Vanceburg, Kentucky.
He was born September 10, 1939, in Lewis County, Ky., a son of the late George and Florence McClurg Bloomfield.
Harrison was of the Christian faith and proudly served two tours in the United States Army. He was the manager of a Waco gas station in Bucyrus, Ohio, and enjoyed spending time with his brothers, nieces, and nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Herb Bloomfield.
Harrison is survived by two brothers and a sister-in-law, George Bloomfield and Ray and Rose Bloomfield, all of Vanceburg, Ky., four nieces, Jackie Evans, Jennifer Cooper, Amanda Smith, and Tywana Hill, one nephew, Greg Bloomfield, one great niece, Katie Cooper, one great nephew, Dalton Cooper; a special Army friend whom he bunked with, John Rowe, and a special friend in his apartment complex in Bucyrus, OH., Bobby Nickleson. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at the Lewis County Memory Gardens in Vanceburg, Ky., with Hospice of Hope Chaplain Donna Kasik officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the Monte Lewis Stamm VFW Post No. 5438.
