Mrs. William Freund, 69, of R. 1, Malone, died early Friday at St. Agnes Hospital at Fond du Lac. The former Apolonia Schumacher was born Jan. 5, 1902, in Johnsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Schumacher. She was married to Mr. Freund Nov. 6, 1923 at Johnsburg. Mrs. Freund was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic parish at Johnsburg and its Christian Mothers’ Society.

Two brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg. The Rev. Robert Bier, pastor of St. John, was celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

MRS. FREUND

Funeral services for Mrs. Apolonia Freund, who died Friday, were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. from Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and 11 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg.
The Christian Mothers Society attended in a body. Officiating was the Rev. Robert Bier.
Honorary bearers from the Christaian Mothers Society were Mrs. Roman Merten, Mrs. Vincent Halbach, Mrs. Anthony Seurer, Mrs. Elizabeth Casper, Mrs. Servi Sabel and Mrs. Leo Schmitz.
Active bearers were LaVerne Beyer, Cyril Klapperich, Joseph Gilgenbach, Vince Ebertz, Vernie Freund and Clifford Benzchawel. Burial was in the church cemetery.
