Mr. Jesse "Jack" Lee Coltrane, 88, of Greensboro, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Friends Homes-Guilford.
Jesse was born on July 5, 1925 in Guilford County to the late Lee B. and Pearl W. Coltrane. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie C. Bivins and brothers, Bill, Sol, Vernon and Lois Coltrane; and sisters, Lala Thacker and Edna Wakefield. He was active in his church and various charities.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret Parker Coltrane; daughters, Libby Webb of Hillsville, VA, Becky Jones of Greensboro, and Kathy Anthony and her husband Kenneth of Reidsville; brother, Max Coltrane of Kernersville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on June 21, 2014, at Rehobeth United Methodist Church in Greensboro, with Rev. Ben Shepherd officiating. A private family committal service will take place prior to the funeral service, in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the funeral service.
