Alberta was born in Stratford, on September 3, 1921, the daughter of Nova and Ethel (Becker) Bass. On July 2, 1957, she married Arthur Post at Canton, Missouri. Alberta was a wife and mother and in earlier years, she worked as a packer at Archway Cookies in Boone and a packer at Donnelley Marketing in Nevada. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, yard work, garage sales, bingo, crossword puzzles, and collecting chicken memorabilia. Alberta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women's League.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Chantz Davidson and Arthur Post, a son Arlow Davidson, two daughters Eloise Davidson and Barbara Dawdy, four brothers, and a sister. Alberta is survived by a son Ronald Davidson and his long time friend Mary Jones of Boone; two daughters Karen Hasstedt and husband Eldon of Novato, California, and Sheryl Porter and husband Albert of Boone; a daughter-in-law Linda (Davidson) Hasstedt and husband Bill of Boone; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m. Visitation continues Wednesday at the funeral chapel from 8 until 11 a.m. and then at the Church from 1 until service time.
