Born in West Bolton, Province of Quebec [offically Bolton-Oeust, a municipality located in the Brome-Missisquoi Regional County Municipality of the Montérégie administrative region of Quebec, Canada], the daughter of Furber J. Drew and Mary Abbie Drew, she came to Greenfield with her parents when she was only two years old and had lived here ever since. She was married to Mr. Dickinson 29 years ago Feb. 27. She was until recent years an active member of the Greenfield Woman's club and served at one time as vice-president, declining to accept the presidency. She also served as committee chairman in various club activities. She was a prominent member of the Second Congregational church and took an active part in the affairs of the Ladies Aid Society of the church and other organizations affiliated with it. Mrs. Dickinson was treasurer of the Franklin County League for Better Hearing and had done much to promote the work of that society.
Besides her husband who is president of the New England Box Co., she leaves her mother, also of 208 Federal street; a son W. E. Dickinson, Jr., of High Street; a daughter, Ruth at home; one granddaughter, and a brother, Arnold Drew of Athol. The funeral will be held at the home on Federal street Friday at 2 p.m. and burial will be in Green River cemetery.
