CURWENSVILLE - Mrs. Sarah Ethel (Evans) Smeal Breon, 85, died early today at the home of her daughter with whom she lived on Naulton Road.
Born June 5, 1894 in Curwensville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas B. and Daisy Ethel (Mehaffie) Evans.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW and the American Legion; and Curwensvile United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Mary S.) Johnson; a granddaughter, Mrs. Gregory (Barbara) Mann, Aston; and grandson, John Johnson, Grampian; a great-grandson and a sister, Mrs. Maude Rennon, Coroapolis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Alfred Smeal, 1947; second husband, ROme Breon, 1972; her son Staff Sgt. Thomas C. Smeal; 1943; four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Breon was a 15-year resident of Rockford, Ill.
Family and friens will be received at the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home, Curwensville, tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until the funeral Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Gerald A. Trostle will officiate, and interment will follow in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
