Caleb was the son of Solomon Heath and Abiah Carleton of Haverhill, Mass. and Bow, New Hampshire. He was married in Dunbarton, NH 8 May 1792 (but likely the year should be earlier) to Abigail Page, the daughter of William Page and Hannah Heath of Dunbarton, NH. He was a witness to the 1791 will of his father-in-law, William Page. About 1800 Caleb moved with his wife and several young children to Newport, then in Cheshire Co., NH, and settled on the I. Millen farm. He was enumerated there on the 1820 census with wife and three older boys. Sometime, within the next 15 years or so, Caleb and Abigail left Newport, and went to live with their son Solomon, a lawyer, in Belfast, Maine. This is where Caleb died. Abigail, continued to live with Solomon, and appears with his family in the 1850 census in Belfast. The following year, Solomon moved with his family, including his mother Abigail, to Waterville, Maine, and it is there where Abigail died in 1853. Cemetery staff at Grove Cem. indicate that Abigail is not buried here with Caleb, which means she is certainly buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterville, where their son Solomon is buried.
