Early Life: Itha was born October 20, 1929, in Charleston, Utah, to Ernest LeRoy and Addie Nielson Simmons.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: Itha was an angel to many. She loved her family and was very dedicated to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a church greeter in her ward, bringing a smile to everyone she touched. She was also a very dedicated employee at Dairy Keen Restaurant in Heber City, and loved visiting with the customers. Everyone who knew Itha considered her a grandma. Her warmth and sincerity will be missed by many. Beloved, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Itha Simmons Murdock, left her earthly body to return to her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 7, 2013. She was 83.
Family Message: "Her family takes comfort in knowing that Itha is now reunited with beloved son, Dallas J. Sweat, whom she missed dearly."
Survived By: Her children: Rhoda (Robert) McKnight, Wendy McKnight, Tami (David) Wolnik, Paul (Debra) McKnight; great-grandchildren: Krista (Alex), Joshua (Bailey) Jason and Travis McKnight; her siblings: Bruce Simmons, Reva Hailing, Mural Laughter, Roberta Simmons; as well as an honorary daughter, Sam Clift.
Preceded In Death By: Her son, Dallas J. Sweat; her loving parents, her infant brother, Ernest LeRoy Simmons; and sisters, Elva Lublow and Rose Simmons.
