Jay R. Stewart, 93, retired Director of Advanced Planning and former controller for U.S. Steel, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2005.
Mr. Stewart lived in Mt. Lebanon since 1944, moving there from his native Steubenville, Ohio. He is the son of the late James B. and Eva McCarel Stewart.
Beloved husband for 71 years of Dorothy McSwiggen Stewart; father of one boy and three girls. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Rd., Mt. Lebanon on Friday only from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Private family interment will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas More Family Life Center, 126 Ft. Couch Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15241.
