Ameres Orissa Van Dusen was born on September 5, 1856 in Lincoln, Ontario Province, Canada. Her father Leviness Van Duesen was 25 and her mother Mary E Jones was just 18. She married George Andrew St John on April 5, 1875 in Holland City, 0ttawa Co, Michigan. They had 11 children in the 28 years between 1876 and 1904, six of which are listed below. She passed away on July 22, 1917 in Portland, Oregon at the age of 60 while staying with her son Fred St John. Her husband George died just 4 years later in 1921 in Forest Grove, 0r. She was this writers G/grandmother, her son Robert listed below was my Grandfather. She was laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Spokane, Wash where her husband was laid beside her upon his death. Her Grandfather was also a Leviness Van Dusen born abt 1800 in New York.
Addendum - I just recently discovered a Cousin who is descended from the Sister of Leviness VanDusen. Very Exciting News
