Leonard Yancey Dorn, Jr., 80, resident of 1024 Mt. Moriah Road, widower of Doris Burton Dorn, died October 3, 2013, at his home. Born December 2, 1932, in Greenwood County, he was a son of Leonard Yancey Dorn, Sr., 103 years old of Wesley Commons, and the late Katie Bell Bush Dorn Cash. He was a US Army Veteran and was retired from the Greenwood Mills Compound as a maintenance technician. He was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and was a former member of Joppa Masonic Lodge, A.F.M. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah A. (Paul) McLaughlin and Jan W. (Robby) Fulmer, all of Greenwood; a son, Mike A. (Beverly) Dorn of Greenwood; a brother, Cecil Wayne (Lynn) Dorn of Ovido FL; two sisters, Linda D. (Nelson) Polatty of Ninety Six and Mary Ann (Don) Evans of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Michelle Ann Lund, Jennifer Bratcher, Julia McLaughlin, Dean McLaughlin, Randy Dorn Timmy Brooks, Joseph Brooks, Rick Harrison and Nakia Patrick; eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his former wife and lifetime friend, Effie Gooch Calloway. Burial in Mathews Cemetery. Blyth Funeral Home.
