Evelyn Mae Lair passed this life on September 28, 2013, at the age of 85 years. She grew up in Union City, OK attending school there, then moving to Oklahoma City, OK in 1947. She loved gardening and sewing. Her greatest joy was her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member at Forest Hills Christian Church, Siloam Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile and other clubs at India Shrine Temple. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Morrison; and two sisters, Jaretta Morrison and Myrna Oldham. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wilbur Lair; son, Douglas Lair and wife Gael, of Austin, TX; daughter, Shelly Holinsworth, of Mustang, OK; and her granddaughter, Alison Lair, of Austin, TX. She also leaves behind her sisters: Erlenne Sanders and Edweena Sanders, of Union City; Twila Boyd, of Bethany; Judy Owen, Carol Stevens, and Betty Davis, of Mustang; two brothers: Donald Earl Morrison, of Eufaula; and Eddie Morrison, of Yukon; brother-in-law, Mike Oldham and wife Starla, of Yukon; as well as a host of relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Hills Christian Church or to the India Shrine Transportation Fund. Services will be at the Forest Hills Christian Church on Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
