Lillian Bohlken
Lillian Bohlken, former LeMars resident, passed away at Long Beach, California on November 13, 1956, following a short illness.
Miss Bohlken was born February 10, 1918 in Plymouth county near Ireton. She lived in this community until 1954 when she moved to California. She was never married, and was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Bohlken. Miss Bohlken was employed at a cafe in Long Beach before her sickness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17 at St. John's American Lutheran church in LeMars at 1:30 P.M. Rev. L. L. Belk will officiate and burial will be in Preston township Lutheran cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.
Survivors include a brother, Ben Bohlken of Salem, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Anna) Towns of Long Beach and Mrs. Sam (Emma) Brooks of Howard, S.D. and several neices and nephews.
