Funeral services for Alexander Rankin, who died in the Didsbury hospital Friday, September 26, were held from Knox United Church, Didsbury at 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 29. Rev. D. Whyte Smith officiated at the ceremony.
Mr. Rankin was born in West Marystone, Scotland, and came to Canada 34 years ago. He settled in the Didsbury district two years later.
Surviving are four sons, George and James, Didsbury; Alexander, Calgary; Robert, Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Grace Bonner, Butte, Mont.; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
