MRS. SHEMCHAK 59, DIES AFTER 3 MONTHS' ILLNESS

After an illness of three months duration, Mrs. Martin Shemchak, 59, of 1519 Madison street passed away last night at the hospital.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Lena Mrotek was born in this city in 1872 and has always made her home here.

She was married to Martin Shemchak in 1890 who survives her with five daughters, Mrs. John Plonek, Mrs. Tracy Mrotek, Mrs. Melvin Pitsch, Grace and Josephine, all of this city, and three sons, John, Anton and Charles of this city. One sister, Mrs. George Jagodinsky of this city, and eight grand children also survive.

The deceased was a member of the Rosary society of St. Mary's congregation.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:45 from the home on Madison street and at nine o'clock from the St. Mary's church with burial at Calvary cemetery.

The remains were removed to the home this afternoon from the Shimek and Schwartz funeral parlors.
