The South Side

Falling Springs, March 2, 1901. Isaac Noy died of the grip and pneumonia at the home of his son, Theodore Noy, near Newport, where he had his home, on Monday, aged 75 years, 3 months and 11 days. He formerly resided in Carroll township, where he worked at wagon-making. He came to Perry county with his father when but a small boy. He was a soldier in the rebellion. His wife preceded him to the other world several years ago. Four sons and two daughters survive him: Charles E., of Harrisburg; Andrew S., of West Fairview; Theodore and John, of Newport; Mrs. John L. Shatto, of Shermansdale; Sarah, of Lancaster. Interment in the Presbyterian graveyard at
Shermandale on Thursday. His four sons acted as pall bearers. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E.G. Baker, of the M.E. church, Newport.
