Annette married Clement Gillespie Wright (1824-1865) on 10 Oct. 1855. He was a son of Senator Isaac Wright (1780-1865) and his second wife Jane Gillespie (1785-1858) of Bladen County, NC. Annette and Clement were living in Fayetteville where he was a lawyer when the War came. He joined the 5th NC Cavalry, and was later Colonel of the 66th NC Regiment, Confederate States Army. He died in service of his country.
Annette returned to Greensboro to live with her parents. She and Clement had three children, Nettie Wright (dates unknown, buried here), J. Lindsay Wright (1861-1882, buried here) and Clement Gillespie Wright, Jr. (1864-1937, m. Mary Joanna Bernard, buried at Green Hill).
Annette served as the organist of the Presbyterian Church, and her tombstone bears a verse from the Bible, which is also a hymn: "Peace, Perfect Peace." (Information from Carol Moore's wonderful book, "Greensboro's First Presbyterian Church Cemetery," and my own research.)
While the tombstone has her birthdate as 1836, there is quite a bit of information to suggest she was actually born in 1834.
