Robert D. Bryner, age 84, of Crown Point, IN, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at St. Anthony medical Center in Crown Point, IN.

Robert is survived by 2 sons: Jeff (Linda) Bryner of Crown Point, IN and Dave (Conchita) Bryner of Schererville, IN; and 6 grandchildren: Julie and Lauren Bryner, Brittany (Tom) Kramer, Andrea Atteberry, and Hannah and Nathan Bryner. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Jean; second wife: Rita; and parents: Harold and Gladys Bryner.

Robert retired from AT&T in 1985 with over 30 years of service and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

As a young boy he was a Boy Scout, later became an Eagle Scout and as an adult served as Scout Master with the Calumet Council. Robert enjoyed flying his airplane, after attaining his Pilots license.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, Crown Point, IN from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon with Rev. Paul Anderson officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to: The Crown Point Community Foundation for the benefit of the local Boy Scouts.
